Troubleshooting Windows Print Spooler Issues

The Print Spooler service manages all print jobs on Windows. When it crashes or gets stuck, no printing is possible. Symptoms include printers showing as offline, print jobs stuck in queue, or error 'Spooler SubSystem App has stopped working.' To fix: open Services (services.msc), find Print Spooler, right-click and Stop it. Then navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files in that folder (not the folder itself). Return to Services and Start the Print Spooler again. If the spooler crashes repeatedly, a corrupt printer driver is usually the cause. Open Devices and Printers, right-click each printer, and delete it. Then open Print Management (printmanagement.msc), go to Drivers, and remove all printer drivers. Reinstall only the needed printer driver from the manufacturer's website.
