Yealink T54W: Programmable Keys and Speed Dial Setup

The Yealink T54W has 10 physical line keys and supports additional virtual keys through the on-screen interface. These can be programmed for speed dial, monitoring coworkers' lines, and more. Types of programmable key functions: Speed Dial: Press one button to call a specific number or extension instantly. BLF (Busy Lamp Field): Monitor a coworker's line. The key lights: - Green = line is idle (they're available) - Red = line is in use (they're on a call) - Flashing = their phone is ringing You can also press a BLF key to call that extension or pick up their ringing call (if call pickup is configured on your phone system). Call Park/Retrieve: Park a call in a lot and retrieve it from another phone. DND (Do Not Disturb): Quick DND toggle. Setting up keys via the phone web interface (recommended): 1. From a browser, go to the phone's IP address (Menu > Status > IPv4) 2. Log in with admin credentials 3. Go to Dsskey > Line Key 4. For each key slot: - Type: select Speed Dial, BLF, etc. - Value: enter the extension or phone number - Label: enter what to display on the phone screen (e.g. "Front Desk," "Kerry") 5. Click Confirm — changes apply immediately Setting up a speed dial directly on the phone: 1. Press and hold a blank line key on the phone for a few seconds 2. Select Speed Dial 3. Enter the number and a label 4. Press Save Practical use for small businesses: - Program keys with the extensions of everyone in the office - BLF keys let you see at a glance who's on a call before transferring - Program the main company number, after-hours number, or a frequently called vendor Note: The number of programmable keys and available types depends on your phone system configuration.
