Personalizing the Yealink T54W to suit your environment — adjusting the ringer, volume, screen brightness, and language. Adjusting Ringer Volume: - While the phone is idle (not on a call), press the +/- rocker button on the left side of the phone - The ringer volume bar appears on screen — press + to increase, - to decrease - Pressing - all the way to 0 silences the ringer (phone will still vibrate if on a flat surface, and the screen lights up for calls) Changing the Ringtone: Menu > Basic > Sound > Ring Tones Select from the available ringtone options. Press Play to preview before selecting. Adjusting Call Volume: During an active call, press the +/- rocker button to adjust the volume of the handset, speaker, or headset depending on which you're using. Adjusting Screen Brightness: Menu > Basic > Display > Backlight Brightness (Active) and Backlight Brightness (Idle) Active = brightness while in use. Idle = brightness when the phone hasn't been touched for a while (dimmed to save power). Setting the Screensaver/Backlight Timeout: Menu > Basic > Display > Backlight Time Set how many seconds/minutes of inactivity before the screen dims. Range is typically 15 seconds to Always On. Changing the Date and Time Display: Menu > Basic > Date & Time — you can set the time format (12-hour vs 24-hour) and date format here. In most setups, the time syncs automatically from your phone system's NTP server. Changing the Phone Language: Menu > Basic > Language Select English (or another language if needed). Press Save. Setting Wallpaper: Menu > Basic > Display > Wallpaper — choose from the built-in wallpaper options or use a custom image if your phone system provisioning supports it. Note: Some settings may be locked by your phone system administrator to ensure consistent configuration across all phones. If you can't access a menu item, contact us.
